We pursue projects with stories to tell. Drawing from their past and envisioning their future, we design spaces of deep meaning and consequence.

is a New York–based architecture practice founded by Fani Christina Papadopoulou and Daniel Hemmendinger. With backgrounds rooted in high design and broad experience across building types, we bring a considered, research-driven approach to all projects.

tropos architecture

Fani Christina Papadopoulou is a founding partner of tropos architecture. Originally from Greece and based in New York, she approaches design as both strategy and storytelling—grounded in research, attuned to context, and shaped by a sharp design instinct. She works closely with clients to clarify goals, cut through complexity, and deliver work that’s rigorous, refined, and built for impact.

Daniel Hemmendinger is a founding partner of tropos architecture. A designer and writer with a sharp conceptual eye, he approaches architecture as both a physical and intellectual pursuit—one that connects ideas, materials, and people through clarity and craft. His work balances rigor and imagination, always grounded in a strong narrative thread.
